Hi!! I’m Jojo, an attentive animal communicator based in NSW, Australia, offering online sessions across Australia.

I’ve always been drawn to animals. Even before I understood why, I felt most at ease and safe in their presence. There was something about their honesty, sensitivity, and authenticity that felt deeply genuine to me.

My first deep bond at home was with my guinea pig, Sprinkles. She was the first animal who was truly mine to care for. I would talk to her from my bedroom window and she would respond with her little calls. We spent hours outside together while I built obstacle courses for her to explore. She would come when called, play until she was ready to stop, then head into her tunnel to be lifted gently back home. Looking back, that connection was simple, pure, and foundational. It taught me that animals are always communicating if we’re willing to listen.

Early life experiences shaped me deeply. While parts of my childhood were challenging, I’ve chosen to see them as gifts. They nurtured my sensitivity and empathy, and opened me to a deeper spiritual awareness that now supports the way I connect with animals. As difficult as some moments were, I genuinely believe they shaped the very qualities that allow me to do this work today.

The true turning point came through a synchronicity while I was exploring my purpose with my therapist, Ben Skerrett. He mentioned an upcoming Healing With Animals workshop he was co-hosting with animal communication teacher Jacqueline Buckingham, and something in me immediately said yes. During that workshop, I realised the messages I had been receiving from animals for years were not simply my own thoughts. They were theirs. That moment changed everything.

Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my practice and understanding of animal communication. I have completed Healing With Animals, the Mentoring Series, and Advanced Level 2 Animal Communication with Jacqueline Buckingham, as well as the For the Love of Animals online course with Anna Breytenbach and Brad Laughlin. Last year, I also attended a five-day Healing With Animals Retreat in Gleniffer with Ben and Jacqueline, further strengthening my connection to animals and refining my ability to hold space for both humans and animals.

My horse, Shorty, is one of my greatest teachers. I spend time with him every day and he continues to guide my personal growth. His honesty and presence have shaped the way I show up in the world. I truly believe I would not be the person I am today without his continual support. He reminds me daily why this work matters.

A big part of being able to hold space for animals and their humans is being able to hold space for yourself. My ongoing therapy and personal development work ensure that I show up grounded, clear, and open. This self work supports my work as an animal communicator. It helps me become aware of my own blocks so they can be released, opening space for the information the animal wishes to share.

Spending time in nature also deeply supports my connection. Bush walking, or as I like to call it, ‘marinating in nature’, brings me back to calm and clarity. I feel most aligned and open when I’m surrounded by the natural world, and that grounded presence flows into everything I do.

This work is woven into how I live, how I listen, and how I care for the animals in my own life. I’m continually learning and growing, deepening my capacity to hold space, because the clearer and more grounded I am, the clearer the connection becomes.

Animals have always held a special place in my life. Being able to listen to what they wish to share and support deeper understanding between animals and their humans is an honour.

With a grateful heart,

Jojo :)
