Hi!!

I’m Jojo, and I’m here to help you deepen your connection with your animal companion. My journey into learning animal communication started with a synchronicity while I was exploring my purpose with my therapist, Ben Skerrett. At the time he had an upcoming "Healing with Animals" workshop with Jacqueline Buckingham, an animal communication teacher, and something about it just felt right—I had to give it a shot. During the course, I came to understand that the messages I had received from animals in the past were not merely my own thoughts. It was such a mind-blowing moment, and I’ve never looked back since.

What I love most about this work is helping animals feel heard and helping their humans understand them on a deeper level. There’s something so special about being part of that connection. My horse, Shorty, is a huge part of why I do this. He has taught me more about life and myself than I ever thought possible and he continues to show me areas I need to work on. He has played a significant role in helping me become who I am today, and I truly wouldn’t be here, standing in this moment, without him.

I believe that the more I work on myself, the better I can show up for the animals and their humans. This journey of personal growth has been greatly influenced by attending two workshops run by Ben Skerrett: ‘Journey to Authenticity’ and ‘The Heart of Emotional Courage,’ as well as completing his online course, ‘Reclaiming Your Authentic Self.’ Each of these experiences, as well as many therapy sessions, has significantly enhanced my self-development. At the core of my approach are compassion, respect, and integrity, which guide me as I continuously learn and grow to honor the trust that you and your animal place in me, enabling me to serve our shared connection with even greater depth and understanding.

Through the courses I’ve completed with Jacqueline Buckingham— "Healing with Animals," the "Mentoring Series," and "Advanced Level 2 Animal Communication"—I’ve acquired valuable tools that enhance my ability to genuinely understand and connect with animals. To ensure the authenticity of the messages I convey, I have implemented procedures that allow the insights to stem directly from the animal, rather than being influenced by my personal opinions. My hope is that through our collaboration, you will experience a deeper connection with your animal, allowing them to feel truly heard, ultimately strengthening the bond between you both.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey—it’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.

Code of Ethics

I follow the code of ethics created by Penelope Smith in 1990 for animal communicators.

  • Our motivation is compassion for all beings and a desire to help all species understand each other better, particularly to help restore the lost human ability to freely and directly communicate with other species. We honour those that come to us for help, not judging, condemning, or invalidating them for their mistakes or misunderstanding, but honouring their desire for change and harmony.

  • We know that to keep this work as pure and harmonious as possible requires that we continually grow spiritually. We realise that telepathic communication can be clouded or overlaid by our own unfulfilled emotions, critical judgements, or lack of love for self and others. We walk in humility, willing to recognise and clear up our own errors in understanding others’ communication (human and non-human alike).

  • We cultivate knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of human, non-human and interspecies behaviour and relationships, to increase the good results of our work. We get whatever education and/or personal help we need to do our work effectively, with compassion, respect, joy and harmony.

  • We seek to draw out the best in everyone and increase understanding toward mutual resolution of problems. We go only where we are asked to help, so that others are receptive and we truly can help. We respect the feelings and ideas of others and work for interspecies understanding, not pitting one side against another but walking with compassion for all. We acknowledge the things that we cannot change and continue where our work can be most effective.

  • We respect the privacy of people and animal companions we work with, and honour their desire for confidentiality.

  • While doing our best to help, we allow others their own dignity and help them to help their animal companions. We cultivate understanding and ability in others, rather than dependence on our ability. We offer people ways to be involved in understanding and growth with their fellow beings of other species.

  • We acknowledge our limitations, seeking help from other professionals as needed. It is not our job to name and treat diseases, and we refer people to veterinarians for diagnosis of physical illness. We may relay animals’ ideas, feelings, pains, symptoms, as they describe them or as we feel or perceive them, and this may be helpful to veterinary health professionals. We may also assist through handling of stresses, counselling and other gentle healing methods. We let clients decide for themselves how to work with healing their animal companions’ distress, disease or injury, given all the information available.

  • The goal of any consultation, lecture, workshop or interspecies experience is more communication, balance, compassion, understanding and communion among all beings. We follow our heart, honouring the spirit and life of all beings as One.
